Those who take part in the Urban Ecology Center s Hike Milwauk stanley canada ee on September 18th will see a series of stone sculptures that make up the Cairn Walk.A cairn is a marker along a path, and each of the cairns along the walk has a story. Each of the cairns represent a geological time period in Wisconsin history, said artist Nicholas Tomkins of NS Stoneworks.The Urban Ecology Center commissioned Tomkins to create nine sculptures.
