Target is making some policy changes.In a press release, the big-box store company announced Wednesday that current Chief Executive Officer Brian Cornell would stay on to continue wo stanley cup rking for them for the next three years.But wit stanley cup h 63-year-old Cornell staying, the company announced its board eliminated its mandatory retirement policy, which previously listed the mandatory retirement age at 65. In discussions about the companys longer-term plans, it was important to us as a board to assure our stakeholders that Brian intends to stay in his role beyond the tr stanley cup aditional retirement age of 65, said Monica Lozano, lead independent director of Targets Board of Directors in a statement.Since joining the company in 2014, Cornell said he s helped Target add nearly $40 billion in annual revenue, according to the press release.The company also announced Wednesday that Arthur Valdez, the company s executive Vice President and chief supply chain and logistics officer, was retiring.Target said its senior vice president of global inventory management, Gretchen McCarthy, will succeed Valdez. HELENA 鈥?Montanans gathered at Memorial Park in Helena to honor service members who have been listed as prisoners of war POW or missing in action MIA .Friday represented the 41st annual National POW-MIA Recognition Day. Fifty-three Montana soldiers, airmen, and sailors have be asics en designated as a POW or MIA since World War II.Their names were read aloud at the ceremony so that their service and sacrifice would not be forgotten.For James Jim Heffernan, who served with the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War, a day hasnt gone by that those that didnt return hasnt weighed on his mind. As a combat veteran with the 1st Marine Division, we lost a lot of men, said Heffernan. When we got back, each day we think of the fallen comrades that we had. It does bring tears to our eyes. We just hope they are upstairs guarding the gates. There have bee adidas campus n increased efforts to locate and return the remains of individuals listed as POW/MIA in recent decades, but the majority of those missing have still not been returned home.According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, almost 82,000 Americans are still missing.
