Then I was banned by ch_in (论坛管理员) - who apparently does not appreciate my sense of humor.

Here you seem to be stating that I am regarding isolated parts of Chinese culture and taking them out of context.

Quite possible - given that I read Chinese extremely slowly, I have probably read 1/1,000 of what the average Chinese intellectual has gone through. However, this is precisely the reason why I come to Chinese forums - in the hope that people can show me my mistakes.
旁徵博引 =多方引證，以資徵信。如：經過這番旁徵博引，他的論點更能被大家接受。

Here you seem to be saying that I rely on many different sources for my information - to distinguish between what is true and false. True, but don't forget that I am a 美國佬 - a child in your culture.

Well, first of all, www.csuchen.de/bbs is a German forum. Since I am 25% German...

Second, as for 贬低, I left the 熱血漢奸 forum because their arguments against China are pretty 弱智.

Third, as for criticism, if you can criticize my country, why can't I criticize your country?

If my arguments are weak, please destroy them.

More precisely, how would one define a legitimate government? One which is freely elected (as in the Republic of China) or one which comes (as Mao would say) "from the muzzle of a gun" ?

Uh, best to avoid National Socialist terminology in a German forum. I get the impression that you wish to defend "Han Chinese" racial honour in this discussion.

I don't give a darn about race - what I am interested in is LEARNING from my opponents. Whether I win or lose the argument is irrelevant.
