Dear Mr. Lohengrin,
Thank you for your interest in joining my group. I know you major Professor,
so I am sure you've learnt a lot in your chemical education. We currently do
not yet accept foreign students with Bachelor degrees and generally require
a Master's degree. Also, it would be good to have some proficiency in German
and, definitely, in English.
What we can do is the following. There are short-term grants available for
students to come for a few months to Germany, say over a summer. You can
apply through www.daad.de (they also have English pages). We can then work
on a proposal for a grant for a fellowship from the DAAD or other places to
pursue a PhD degree. In the meantime, of course, it would be imperative to
have at least all courses taken for a MS degree.
