Free antiretroviral drugs used to treat people with HIV and AIDS should be given at an earlier stage of infection to reduce sickness and death, said an International AIDS Society panel at a six-day International AIDS Conference in Vienna.        HT Image    About 2.27 million people were infected with HIV in India in the end of 2008, the last year for which data is available.
