Dear participant,

Within the context of my dissertation at the University of Applied Sciences and Research Harz in Germany I conduct an experiment regarding the topic “numerical cognition”. In order to collect sufficient data until 31.07.2008 I am looking for volunteers who participate in this experiment. I would be really grateful if you could take 15 minutes of your time in order to help me with this examination.

The experiment will be in English, however, it contains visual and acoustical presentations in Chinese. Therefore please make sure your PC features audio response by using a headset or speakers. Furthermore, please check if the volume is set to an appropriate level.

In order to participate in the examination please click on the link below if you use “Firefox” as your standard browser. Unfortunately it is not possible to open the experiment in a browser other than “Firefox”. In case you are using another browser by default, please open “Firefox” and copy the whole link into the browser’s address line:

While accessing the website it is possible that you will be asked to install a plug-in. Please be patient, this process may take a few minutes. After you have installed the plug-in you will be directed to the welcome page.

Your data will be treated in the strictest confidence and only be used for the purpose of my dissertation.
