After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.! s! c; U: N- u' b& G d- W: D I7 e
2 I* _& S) Y8 NBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. D$ ]& K+ k" |( _
- i7 Q& Y0 @: a& o2 v* Z2 SLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. ! S+ Z# z% g/ I! f$ T 5 l1 |9 k, R1 b6 F; L"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 8 g; \0 t, {0 n2 u, V9 P7 c0 ]8 F# Z* \$ e
"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 0 _7 }9 N q- n- g5 a* D! ]& x. E. m. Y! d( B. W
The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 4 I4 s5 H/ m e+ K# i; k. p* j: P5 d1 w5 o. ?
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 9 v; @5 }7 u# Y2 N' ~
% ~6 s9 m, i& K+ Q: cAnother boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. & o7 m( G7 c2 _* V# Q4 r
$ j+ H/ m4 K, |& Z6 S. Q. A! bIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 9 x8 _1 M9 I# D; O
- K! O8 L2 _# ~6 T+ H cThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 5 o3 E% w0 X/ o

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. + R6 x6 J, |% b6 n; X5 V - s9 b( ]( b; u' HMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. + y6 u4 B" B3 n, @* ~) E# V. A

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. " F& J, _. i: M, v$ C3 c. a5 `* S) t: q4 C
"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. ) ^: o+ f, } C+ h 4 L( | \6 `2 D# w" _& N. \"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. # H4 \- \, a' ^: ~& v! g* {3 } ; a1 F, [% ~2 P"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 4 z" j8 _; j9 z ]
$ B# t( k' C% {) xMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. ! Q& n; D( m" d6 @) S
9 I2 g( T# N+ {+ s& S# I+ tTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. , d7 V; d; Q4 [- @& n
9 c- _: H5 O+ |! W, fThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 4 B/ p/ Z3 ?# H( S
B- L5 W; M. `1 E' e
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. `; u4 n' e0 m) @6 r+ A1 [ . i4 e' n5 O7 d' w* EMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. V! b0 y" Z+ x% g/ x! _
4 d3 }% e' k# k, ]0 j+ X9 {"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." # @; F) F+ r4 W3 J5 I2 g' P/ X6 [
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
