今年45岁的沃里纳与现年32岁的“好生养”太太雷娜,育有6女3子(包括3胞胎女儿),最大的9岁,最小的还未满月。结婚时他们协议生6个,没想到越生越高兴,雷娜坦言自己已经“生上瘾”。 9 D' n8 e" ^4 l/ h! d' K4 Y

小生命带来快乐,但是,照顾孩子相当辛苦。雷娜每日忙足了17小时,要接送孩子到不同学校、每天洗衣服也要洗上4遍,工作量比一般主妇多几倍,一家11口全靠沃里纳的一份薪水养活。夫妇俩已经3年没有放假了,也很少见朋友,但是,沃里纳说:“这个家是我们的命根,我不觉得缺乏什么。” # P( a: Z. ?3 ~: A; i' `, M9 r5 u7 d6 y0 s

After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. $ \. c: B6 _9 a5 ^0 t4 H2 G( R4 K7 Z0 @- t
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 7 G0 }6 Q0 v4 k0 Z8 `" [8 f8 a& o7 ~ u- H9 N, _
Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. % D) X. o7 L: _! D
, w7 h. A, |% t. i& H"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 4 g2 a6 W3 ]. n- a! ]) ]/ D$ z: J- X6 j7 ^* U% u* K( W2 J
"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 1 e4 ~1 C# H$ D- Z5 G
6 w! S3 S/ H0 ~3 ~) D4 N+ HThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 1 N( O$ C1 c* u( R8 H5 c

Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 7 u6 K( k$ d0 b/ ]

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 5 p* M* I8 O- t3 ]7 C) u2 u) y' M1 A. S: K& ^
In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. " h+ @! L4 j9 o/ C 8 o3 f6 Z- G( G& c4 [* S! GThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 4 ?. d6 I# B& o' s( y* {/ _2 E9 `8 n5 s1 n+ r& D" o4 N8 b
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. ; Z1 o) H/ c# ]6 v+ I' u 1 E5 i8 r% R( y9 A% y: qMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. & E2 F) y, d2 `* Y/ L1 w: S
4 n5 J, |% c: m* @But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. ' g1 m5 y* x4 M+ g7 V ' \. k: F$ w6 r* c"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. 8 t. H% x8 V' L+ @* ^% b5 R

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 8 b }% ]7 m# H8 p" f 3 @! G9 e$ `& W; e o Y% u"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." ( z- ?. Z* K9 v; @3 ~

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. ! z7 |: L# I9 j, D; W9 ` y
# A5 e# I- p6 {4 }% a" D- y+ t% Y) b* JTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 7 F, Z/ p3 @$ V% j1 {

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 7 x% T- ^% Y1 {& t# H - {8 q: g& _6 B/ s. {: z- N9 tThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 9 |, U: O! ~! j+ a& _7 g/ e
) E( a1 b. X% G3 l: Y3 e4 A( ZMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. * J$ U0 A3 ?9 ~' V4 t+ S
* M' o6 M: t& C* q; C" C% a"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." ( v3 i! n& r$ |7 z- C. N3 ?" E, M. M. r; K+ B
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
